Winter surprise

Making do with indoor light on long, cold, dark days.
Venturing out for short bursts of biting fresh air.
Missing the scents of colourful life around every corner.
A surprise bouquet, a little bedraggled, washed up on a winter shore.

  3. Those waves look fantastic crashing down like that. I make sure that I get out when I can during the winter, you never know when the weather will change and we'll be stuck indoors.

  4. Great photos. I love the one of the waves crashing on the beach in particular. I try to get out as much as possible even in winter. Even small bits of sunlight and fresh air make me feel better but today is damp and very cold. A day to stay in by the fire with a cup of tea. Wellywoman.

  5. Lorna those incoming waves are incredible. What a moment with the low winter sun, well worth braving the elements for!

I've heard that temperatures of -11C have been recorded in Britain today - how is it down your end?
