Winter surprise

Making do with indoor light on long, cold, dark days.
Venturing out for short bursts of biting fresh air.
Missing the scents of colourful life around every corner.
A surprise bouquet, a little bedraggled, washed up on a winter shore.

  1. Wonder how that got there? Lovely pictures.

  2. Love the second photo - the Winter waves crashing ono the shore! The flowers - a mystery!

  3. Those waves look fantastic crashing down like that. I make sure that I get out when I can during the winter, you never know when the weather will change and we'll be stuck indoors.

  4. Great photos. I love the one of the waves crashing on the beach in particular. I try to get out as much as possible even in winter. Even small bits of sunlight and fresh air make me feel better but today is damp and very cold. A day to stay in by the fire with a cup of tea. Wellywoman.

  5. Lorna those incoming waves are incredible. What a moment with the low winter sun, well worth braving the elements for!

  6. You know, I don't get down to the seashore enough! Thanks for your comments x

  7. Hi! Thank you for entering into my giveaway and for linkig it :o)
    Hugs from Russia

  8. We're nearly there Lorna...the Groundhog said yesterday that we'll only have six more weeks of winter ;)

I've heard that temperatures of -11C have been recorded in Britain today - how is it down your end?

  9. Really lovely to meet you Natalia. How amazing is it, that at the click of a button you can find the most interesting people in the world.

That's encouraging Tanya thanks! You know I've really got a cheek to complain because it was an absolutely beautiful day here today. Layer up and off ye go.

I love to hear from you!
